The Lord's Vineyard Church Statement of Faith
We believe that all scripture is the inspired word of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
(John 1:1) "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God."
(John 1:14) "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
(Matthew 24:35) "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
We believe in one God, who is revealed through the Godhead. The Father, The Son (JESUS) and the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4) "Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord."
(Isaiah 45:22) Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for there is none else."
(Galations 3:20) "...God is one."
We believe that God is a Spirit
(John 4:23) "But the hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him."
(John 4:24) "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
(Ephesians 4:4) "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling."
We believe that God is love

(Matthew 22:38) "This is the first and great commandment."
(Matthew 22:39) "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
(Matthew 22:40) "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
We believe in the Father

(Matthew 16:17) "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."
We believe in the virgin birth
(Matthew 1:23) "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

We believe Jesus was baptized
(Matthew 3:16) "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God, descending like a dove, and lighting upon him."
We believe Jesus commanded his desciples to baptize
